After serving over 11,000 families in Caddo Parish and issuing over $32,476,736 in assistance, the Parish’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) has stopped accepting applications as of January 19, 2022, as there are enough applications submitted to fully expend the limited funding that remains.
Effective November 2022, Caddo Parish received additional ERA funding from US Treasury. Funding will first go to families who were in the midst of eligibility review when prior funding was exhausted. Should additional funding remain once these applications are reviewed, the Caddo Parish may open the ERAP Portal for new applications, but new applications are not being accepted at this time.
If you are a landlord of a property for a renter application already submitted, you may still register as a landlord.
The Caddo Parish Emergency Rental Assistance program regrets the delay in issuing additional rental and utility payments. Unfortunately, the program is awaiting receipt of the funding from the federal government, after which payments will be expeditiously provided to as many eligible families as possible.
The Parish will attempt to process and approve as many applications as possible with the limited funding pending from the federal government. While the ERAP program allows up to 15 months of rental assistance, some applicants that are currently receiving payments may not receive 15 months of payments, as all available funding will be exhausted.
Contact the ERA Program by calling (318) 239-7772, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, except for observed holidays. The ERA Program receives and accepts Video Relay Service (VRS) calls from people who are Deaf or hard-of-hearing.
